Today, AnimePocky exists.

We’re an animation studio, founded in London in 2026, working across anime production and distribution. We start small, independent, and with a long view of what we want to build.

The choice to work on both production and distribution is deliberate. The two parts of the medium are usually divided between separate teams or separate companies, and the work suffers in both directions because of it. A piece of animation made without thought for how it reaches its audience is a piece of animation that travels less well than it could. A distribution effort built without an understanding of what production needs is one that imposes constraints it doesn’t fully see. We want to keep both halves under one roof — not to control them, but to let them inform one another.

We’re starting with one project — AnimePocky itself — an anime entertainment platform that we’re building from the ground up. It is in private beta now. We’re being careful about how it opens, because the choices made at the beginning of something tend to last a long time.

What we’re working on otherwise, we’re not yet ready to say. There are projects in development, and there will be more, but the studio is small and the work is patient. We would rather make a small number of things well than a large number of things at all.

If any of this interests you — as a viewer, a creator, a collaborator, or a passer-by — we’d be glad to hear from you. The studio is reachable through the channels listed elsewhere on this site.

More to come.
